PRIVACY POLICY — STAY ONE MORE DAY

1. INTRODUCTION

Stay One More Day ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Matthew Fidler 

trading as Who Is Your Hero (Australia). This Privacy Policy explains 

how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when 

you use the Stay One More Day mobile application.

We take your privacy seriously — especially given the sensitive nature 

of this app. This policy is written in plain English so you know 

exactly what we do with your data.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address (to log you in)

• Your name or preferred name (to personalise the greeting)

• A securely hashed version of your password (we never see your 

  plaintext password)

When you use the app, we store:

• Your daily 4-Pillar check-ins

• Your personal notes and goals

• Emergency contact names, phone numbers, and messages you add 

  (stored only on our secure server, never shared)

• Voice clips you choose to save in "Real Talk" (stored as audio 

  data; only you can access them)

• Any in-app purchases or subscription tier

We do NOT collect:

• Your location (GPS)

• Your phone's contact list (you manually enter names & numbers)

• Your photos or videos

• Any health or medical records

• Browsing or tracking data from outside our app

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your data only to:

• Let you sign in and use the app

• Save your check-ins, contacts, and notes so you can return to them

• Personalise your experience (greeting, streak tracking)

• Process payments if you subscribe (via Stripe — see section 6)

• Respond to your support emails

We do NOT:

• Sell your data. Ever.

• Share your data with advertisers

• Use your data to train AI models

• Send marketing emails (unless you explicitly opt in)

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored in a secure encrypted database hosted on MongoDB 

Atlas (located in Australia or the United States). Passwords are 

hashed using bcrypt. All communication between the app and our 

servers uses HTTPS encryption.

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. If you 

delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days.

This app is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care. 

Any content within the app (crisis steps, pillar prompts, audio 

clips, podcast episodes) is for general support only and does not 

constitute medical advice.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy 

policy:

• Stripe — processes payments. Your card details NEVER touch our

• MongoDB Atlas — hosts our encrypted database. See

• Apple App Store — distributes the app. See 

  https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

We do NOT use any analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase 

Analytics, Facebook SDK, etc.).

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Stay One More Day is rated for ages 12+ due to mental health content. 

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are 

under 13, please do not create an account. If you believe a child 

under 13 has provided us information, email us and we will delete 

the account immediately.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you

• Correct any inaccurate data

• Delete your account and all associated data

• Export your data

• Withdraw consent at any time

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date 

at the top shows when. Major changes will be notified in-app.
